Default To trim or not to trim?

I'm fast approaching week 4 so want to get any defoliation done now...

My 2 previous crops I trimmed pretty harsh .... Had good results but nothing to compare it too...

So what's your opinions on defoliation before flower???

Wait until 2nd to 3rd week flowering before trimming up from the bottom. It will only replace what fan leaves you cut now while in Veg. JMO

Any big defoliation in flower will always knock em back a couple of days at best,if your wanting to defoliate do it little and often rather than all in one go ,and only remove the leaf that you can't tuck and are blocking bud sites ...plants have leaf for a reason

Just read a guide to schwazzing...

    And have a question.....
When the plants are in bloom is it not the sugar leaves that feed the flower and therefore most fan leaf can be removed ..???

Thats interesting to hear. I'd never done any kind of defoliation before until my last grow. I went at it like a friggin trooper on one plant that was way massive, chopping everything I though would hold my plants growth back. I killed the poor thing stone dead and it's only now after reading this I've realised it wasn't the heat in the tent. Well, you live you learn. I wont get stoned before I attempt it on my next grow I think

Their leaves are their solar panels

Never more than 10% in two days.

Dead, damaged and dying first. Covered second. Then only inward facing to open her up. Never need to do more with these instructions!

Dead, damaged and dying first. Covered bud sites second.

Should be one of the Ten Commandments!
