    Default Co2 isn't always good?

Just visited a Grow set up by a friend as he was having a problem, on the surface, a grow Tent, a Spider Farmer 600w light, (Dimmed down) and dying plants?
After a lot of discussion , I really couldn't see the problem and this guy wasn't on his first trip on this Rodeo, he had changed one thing, there were a LOT of Co2 bags in his tent, so it got me thinking. Co2 is good for the Girls but can you have too much?
It seems you can and too much will kill a plant, the article I read gave a 2,000ppm count, which is high but I'm not clear on how high could be detrimental.
With my thinking head on, it won't hurt to clear the Co2 bags out, (There were four BTW), and the tops were sliced off NOT punched with six holes as recommended.
I'm guessing, these are dying as there is too much Co2 and not enought Oxygen getting to the roots.
I think these four plants are beyond help, which is a shame, but it did highlight a possible cause to a problem I was unaware was possible?
