    In a nutshell, yes.

It was very much built around an HPS & autos as my intake is attic temp (which is 12c at the mo....)

...could I change things to be more temperature friendly? Possibly, but I do not have the skills to attempt the work

Once youre beyond 500w then led begins to makes sense.

Well lit, cold plants arent yielders.
You may have hit the nail on the head there Gardro

I run a 250w HPS & can dial it down to 150w - & am still good for temps... but LED has let me down every time

I wouldnt go out of my way to buy one but would happily run a lower power hps next to an led.

That would be highest umol per total watt

I actually thought about something like that... and I reckon, with a bit thought, it could be done

But, again, it's outside my happy zone

Somebody has tried plasma lamp recently ?

I find this. -> Brand: Lumartix SA (I cannot add this link, I'm a newbe...) and the Product is named "Life Engine" plasma lamp.

The look is very close to the Sun-On-Demand lamp, maybe the real maker of this plasma lamp ?

    What do you think ?

My c/h is set to 22'C and I've just taken some IR temps.

Passive intake in the kitchen 20.4'C. Hall cupboard, top of canopy 25'C. Middle of canopy 19.5'C. Pot 18.5'C. 45w cmh psf.

The heat from hid doesn't seem to travel downwards very well.

There was a big buzz about plasma lighting but the results weren't there.

Clever how it works, similar to a microwave. The lamp gets its energy from a magnetron, no wires to overheat and melt. Not efficient though. Which is why it can't compete with other lights watt for watt.
