I don't know if I would use one of the crisper drawers in the fridge, simply because of the lower air circulation. You really don't get much smell from it either. Once the buds get cooler, they don't smell nearly as much until they are warmed up again. As I mentioned, I have grown for a few decades and I ALWAYS got apprehensive during the drying process, since it was easy to be too hot, or too cold, or too humid, or too dry, or a combination of all the above! With this method, I just toss them into the fridge on a sheet of newspaper and kind of cover the buds slightly by fiolding the paper over the top. Thats it! In a week or so, your buds will be perfectly dry, without mold or mildew, and tasty. Just don't try this in an old school fridge, as they don't circulate the air and the humidity is higher.
