It will cost me a bag of sand to fill my space ....I'm close to pulling trigger tho ...but when lights off is 80 degrees without aircon it won't be 100%...with 1x600w it only gone up 4 degrees ..my fans would pull any fookers wigs off lol ...aircon or bust and I ain't going that far to sort shit....but next purchase will be invisi boards ..for reasons other than heat footprint

Instead of creating a new post, I thought I'd use my old one. So I spoke to meanwell about the dimmer function and he said the removable plug on the back will dim when turned.

I have tried this and it's not working. I'm thinking of buying a new ballast for this kit with a dimmer built in like peeps have said.

Could someone help me find a suitable replacement?

    ELG240C

    The current driver pulls
    241.5 watt draw
    2.1a
    Voltage 51-115

Would a 250w dimmable ballast be suitable?

Or possibly a link towards a suitable potentiometer will be great also, will save me a few pennies

Do you have any way to test the voltage output? If they have a twisty thing built in it should dim the lights.

You can see my potentiometer here top right soldered to the drivers dim lines, you can get 100k ohm ones for fuck all.

Put the black one on the negative DC output and the red on the positive DC output. Change the dial round to V with the line and 3 dashes underneath as that is for DC. The ~ is for AC. See what voltage it's outputting and if twisting the screw changes anything.
