Okay cheers Trex mate, I'm out at the moment but will give it ago later and post the results.

So just before I go ahead, say i have got a blue and brown wire coming from the LED to the driver. I disconnect the blue wire and connect the multimeter pin to both blue wires?

You were measuring DC volts. Measuring DC amps it trickier as the meter has to be in series with the circuit not parallel.

Sounds like it is broken, can't think of much you could do wrong.

In answer to the first post, does your driver have a dimmer ( behind a rubber bung) on the rear of the driver?

Hey mate, yes it does but have removed the rubber and tried turning it but it hasn't had any noticeable difference yet.

Ok so you cannot add anything externally to dim.

These easiest way to assess the dimming function is to power the driver through plug in wall watt / power meter

If the dimmer isnt working at all, it needs to go back to the seller but this is quite unheard of.

Is the screwdriver tiny enough to engage with the pot?

Luckily I have a watt plug I can use. I'll give it ago when I get in later and will tell you the results. Yeah the flathead reaches the pot just fine. Tbh mate, I think its fucked
