I have seen the comments about heat. Especially those that advise running LED tents hotter than they would otherwise be. In fact, Blue61 was the grower who coached me into maintaining 28C in my tents. For most of the year, here in the southeastern US, additional heat is never an issue! I just burned less AC than usual but that's not a very good option for 99% of home growers.

He did include energy draw for pumps, fans, etc. I think it would be fair to add heaters, at least as an optional expense, to his calculations. Good call and good catch.

Curious about your sharing conversations with Shane. That's kind of cool. Can you share a bit about what you learned from the exchange?

Cheers barney, and yeah there has been many conversations regarding the need to increase temps with LED's in our grow environments, or at least it being more 'ideal' for them to be on the higher end

My conversations with Shane is a mixed bag really, just a mix of thoughts and opinions I've discussed here on the forum a few times, like discussing distances and light unformity for example, with some of it on a more personal level, been a while now though and nothing really that comes to mind to share.

I do believe that topic regarding higher temps with LEDs was brought up though, I just can't remember what his opinion was on that front

I remember Gardro mentioned it early on regarding higher temps with LED too, he was always a fantastic source of information when it came to LEDs, and his helpful posts filled with great information are missed.
