Oh Darwin. Has it come to this?

@AND - i've pulled a rawl plug out from a curtain rail...dusty old plaster and shit. Can I get one of those massive metal screws (with a srew inside it) and twist that in? Or do I have to start with new holes, bearing in mind I don't own a drill.

If not waxed or shaved very rough but I'd still follow sads advice here . Every hole needs filling no matter how rough around the edges

Had a VERY busy day today..the first acoustic box I created for my exhaust fan just didn't work unfortunately, I realised I had created too many connections which in the long run might become a problem..

I had used two wall flanges to connect the ducting to from one side, then connected more ducting from the inside to the fan..too many potential points of failure.

SOOOOOoo today I started from scratch, this time the design will be VERY simple, I went by a thread Bud Lightyear created when he built his box and I just did the same as him Linky ...SIMPLICITY is key, with only two connections, one going in and one coming out.

It took me a while as I'm a bit of a perfectionist and the entire box had to, of course, be perfectly square (or at least I attempted for it to be) LOL

I created it out of 18mm MDF, with only the 2 holes for the ducting left to cut out...did it all in the sun today so got myself a nice little tan whilst I was at it

Looking at it, I probably made the damn thing too big but eh..it will do!..it's going in the loft so no problem.

Thank you Bud, your guide just woke me up to go simple..trying to go complex is why the first one failed, so thank you for that thread you made many years ago

Fair play for doing it in situ..I would have died up there trying that today lol
