Anything between 18hours on/6 hours off and 24 hours on seem to be the norm.

I don't know enough about LED technology to answer the rest of the question

Hi Denise. What light do you currently have? What size is your tent? How many plants? I would go with 20 hours on and 4 hours off for now but that's just me. It is common to run light on all the time at this early stage.

For an all round grow 3500k is fine.

I run my lights 24-7 using the Invisible Sun Quantum boards. 265w in 1.2x0.6.1.8m

Marine tank run at 4500k and as you said a lot of blue / uv on top.

    Not really ideal!

They are designed to mimic the ocean so no red.

Hello mate, I have a couple of questions on this topic and I think you have the answers.

How many plants could you do under 1 of those boards?,

I'm like MC I'm afraid, they were not around when I grew before, I can no longer grow anymore myself, but I am researching for a friend.

Also, how would it compare to say a 400 watt hps for heat output?

Very interested in these led boards, I really do wish they had been around when I was growing.

I grow four plants at a time under this panel.

All plants staggered two weeks apart.

Heat is heat, so 265w is less than 400w but still very hot at the moment.

Also the drivers can be stored outside the groom which helps as they are waterproof.
