    Default Electricity costs

So not particularly been looking forward to this day, now entering the 10th week of growing. During late seed, all of veg cycle had lights on 24 hours, obviously flower 12/12 ......... time for the electricity meter readings

Had budgeted for a significant increase in electricity consumption - Last Bill (quarterly) on hand for comparison. This remains much the same, only gas fluctuates when heating required.

Meter readings entered.....drum roll......oh, account still in credit albeit by only a few quid.

Just been over the figures, the only thing I'd pressed that's any different in last three months is asked members of my family to try to reduce length of time they spent in the shower. You've only got to pop round to someones house who uses a smart meter to see just how much it uses. Mine is equivalent in electricity consumption of boiling 4 kettles simultaneously.

Still slightly in shock. Yes we've actually used less electricity in three months I've been growing than the three months prior. I am pleasantly surprised.

Can only take from this my COB LED Hipargero 800w light / intake & extraction fans use very little electricity. Certainly the lights which I use in either veg or bloom mode, never both simultaneously (light too strong & heat given off becomes noticeable) give off little or no heat.

I'm unsure of HPS lightning electric costs, interesting to hear from other members their experience....apart from the battle with the heat (29 Celsius in tent ) turning out to be a good day

I think my groom (in total) costs about 85p a day - that's with a 250w HPS & associated ventilation....

I turn my AC off last week, and am saving $3.00 bucks A day, it pulls more than any 250W light and fans. I'm down to $1.70 A day now and that is everything without AC. Just TV and Fans, and Net.

I'm using around £2 per day in 12/12 almost £3 in veg running 600w HPS.. put it one way I've tipped my meter up by £95 since 1st of July, there's currently £10 left on the meter
