    Default Coco

Hi talkers for my next run I’m seriously considering using Coco for the first time.

Have done a few grows now using soil and ph’ing the water.

Just a few things I’m not clear on..

I’m gonna do 8 plants and start them off in 1L pots with coco then pot up to 3 gallon fabric pots.

Collecting run off I’m gonna make a frame and have trays under the pots as RASTA kindly showed me on another thread.

So for the seedling stage do you just feed plain ph’d water to the plants and do you water to run off or what do you do exactly can anyone give me a break down of a routine for first few weeks maybe ?

Precharge the coco with phd nutes at 0.3.

I flood em, so fed every two hours. You cannot over water.

At third node, I up feed to 0.4EC. Always at 5.8 PH.

I always read the girls, happy to let them get pale then up the feed. Always watch out for the first signs of nitrogen toxicity and back off after flush.

Normally flush 1st week of proper flower after stretch.

    Precharge nothing.

For the first few days water will do but after that start around 0.2 EC & increase as required

Yeah ive read all this pre soaking is not necessary thank god.

So M_C you mean first few days from sprout then what about the coming weeks also at the seedling stage do I just water like soil a trickle of run off then stop ?

Also what ph is best for each stage ?

So to achieve 0.2 EC I will add my nutes (grow a and b) until 0.2 is achieve yeah ?

I normally wait until the second set of leaves are starting & then add feed at 0.2 EC over base (Tap water EC) and tend to pretty much keep to 5.8ph all through. It's not always 5.8 but fairly close (5.6 - 6.2).

Watering to run off, wait until the seedling is developing before drench feeding her & the look for 10-15% runoff

Ok mate so my water straight from tap is 0.5 EC which means my initial feed should be 0.7 yeah ?

So you make that up then ph it to 5.8 yeah and you only increase the feed when you see slight paling colour coming in is that right ?
And usually can all plants be on same schedule or do you end up feeding different to each plant ?

Similar to soil in that respect, just things happen a lot faster

So from 0.2 what increase do you normally increase to mate ? Say 0.4 or more ?

Also so when do you water and have to achieve a lot of run off is that in veg or just when they are big enough to handle it yeah ?
Also the run off needs to be approx 5.8 ph also yeah ?

I have four reservoirs. I grow four plants They rarely want the same, even same strain.

Always start the same and see where the girl takes me using the reading the plant advice above. I always aim to give as little as possible. Easy to fix an underfed girl.

Coco is a sports car, as M_C said, things happen quick. Easy in that regards.

Ok this is where I get put off as I’m doing 8 plants and can’t have 8 separate feeds ffs lol.
