I took the guesswork out of feeding seedlings and got some canna start. Once they're a week or two old I switch to a and b nutes. It may just be luck, but I've had no flies, gnats or bugs with coco yet.

Coco intrigues me BB as I’ve been assured by a few on here that the yield is much bigger than soil and you have far more control etc.

What about the run off side of things have you got an elaborate set up or what mate ?

Also when do you start giving them enough to get significant run off ?

Well ph’ing I’ve been doing so hopefully should be ok there and I’ve got an EC pen and have checked my tap water so far lol.

How do you deal with the run off Easy and when did you start watering until you got good run off ?

run off i bring the plants out to water and stick em in a 12 ltr bucket, feed wait for it to drain then put em back
think it was about 7/10 day before run off,but mine are auto's in 10lt you will start in 3 lt so i would of thought
you will water with run off a bit earlier

Don't hold back on the run off it's for 2 very good reasons ...reducing risk of salt build up and just as importantly replenishing the oxygen around the root zone ...folk on here always say 20% run off ...I'm happier at 75% ....5l per plant per day usually gives you 3.5l run off per day per plant ....and you can do this once a day or numerous times a day ...As for EC pen I've never used one and are not needed imho
