Cheers man put it this way, three weeks in the fridge is probably going to be wetter than the now 24-25 degree alternative lol I spoilt my first plant drying it in four days (still smokes and gets you high but not much taste even after 45 days in a jar). I'm hoping you are my drying angel with this fridge idea dude

The buds in the fridge today look good no ice or anything. I guess it's going to be hard to judge when is time to take them out. The smell is there when you open the door but no way near as over powering as I would expect. Just a faint whiff.

The cold really keeps the smell dowm. I thought my wife was going to make my life hell, but they really don't smell until they are removed and warmed up. It's a little tricky determining when they are just "right", as the fridge makes them feel dryer than they are once they warm up. I thought I trashed a couple plant's worth by overdrying it, but after a few hours in a bag, the buds were dry, soft, and ready for storage. This is the 1st time in 35+ years that I haven't had to worry about mold and mildew. I have a gallon jar stuffed with GDP that got slightly musty and now I don't know what to do with it. All from the 2nd day of drying when there wasn't quite enough airflow and a touch of mold/mildew... enough to ruin everything. With the fridge, there is no taste of mold, mildew, or anything else other than waiting for the chlorophyll to subside a little in the jars. I can't believe how stoopid I was not thinking of this decades ago. It is easier than easy, but doesn't make the job of trimming any less fun!

Let's see what this one weighs tomorrow! I haven't let it warm up or anything. I'm excited about this as the others are drying far to quick in tempted to throw them in too! (not going to want to compare!)

Definitely slow and steady the other stuff is almost dry will be four days at 8pm. This stuff in the fridge has retained its smell so much more and I hope is going to be a complete different (nicer!) smoke.

So far very impressed... Wait to see but it might be a solution to summer drying even if it isn't the best for winter.

Thank you for making me check, I wasn't expecting my fridge to be as warm as that either

I have a couple of fridges and pulled out some Malawi buds and spears that had been drying for about 2 weeks. I had them piled up pretty well on the paper and they dried even slower. The fact that they were pretty fat also slowed down their drying, but they turned out flawless as well. I wish I had chopped a few days earlier, though as I tried using a 10000K Metal Halide "Finishing" lamp for the last two weeks of flowering. It quickly turned all of the fan leaves yellow (within a few days) but left the buds underneath unscathed. The main problem is that the dead and yellowed leaves are almost impossible to remove from the buds without leaving the telltale yellow leaf remains stuck into the buds. Life could be worse, though!

Quick update, so the stuff in the other place has dried and has been jarred. The stuff in the fridge is still drying slowly the smell is still there and actually if this was to becone a thing I think a mini fridge in a tent with carbon filter would be way forward. Do mini fridges come as no frost?

Also it seems that those mini hygrometer need times to adapt.

This will be day 6 in fridge I think (7 total). Smell has gone a little and starting to feel crisp to the touch while cold. I have take a small branch out and will test for a snap once warm. Also taken a small bud out and going to 'test' that too.... In a spliff ofc!
