A Bonsai comp should run a bit longer in my opinion, like 6 months of vegging minimally (so only photos). Otherwise it's not really a bonsai but just a small plant.

These days we would end up with 1 meter wide plants! Low as you like.

    Too easy IMO

Scoring is in the eye of the beholder.... but I think marking of zen of a bonsai canna plant would be hard vs the efforts of one of us growing a "monster" ... if you know what I mean. We all go ooooh and awwww to the POTMs!

Equally, I like the challenge and if it is to truly recreate a bonsai with setting... that is totally different! Why even flower? My cup girl looked like a weeping willow for ages! I thought she was pretty. Add a silent pool, black granite and we got a Feng Shui thang!

Edit : Arguably Ice would win hands down with his photos and flair!

Why would you flower a bonsai cannabis plant? Good question! I guess because it looks very cool to have suck a miniature plant with buds.

I'm dreading the day that Ice has his tent up and starts competing in BOTM and POTM, I might even plan my grows to be ready when his isn't because I must win at least one medal of each of those comps

Here's my bonsai attempt in progress. Root pruned and potted into much small pot. Fun to experiment

Looking good, Sourshoes. Will certainly try to join you at some point. I do have a bonsai pot that would be suitable for this game.

    Thanks for the compliments everyone.

This is a small pot but probably not in line with true bonsai! The end goal is a nice sturdy plant with a robust main stem short in stature.

This little plant just keep pushing. Im trying to get 4 tops and trim the rest. The 30w LED shop light is doing great. Flattened it out more. Under 6" in height.

Very healthy sourshoes, and you're keeping her short and wide, she looks great

Took some width off it and letting it grow vertically. That tall cola is the first clone I'll take then the height should be pretty even!

Great work sourshoes! How are they doing right now?

I'm considering doing one myself as well. Just started back up with a grow and the bean hasn't even popped yet and I'm already itching to plant more and I may just be able to stuff a bonsai in with my autoflower grow. Could give me a huge head start on the next round as well.
