Uprooting non cannabis beast

I'm not a very knowledgeable gardener. Couldn't even tell you what this plant is, what time of year I should be doing this but I choose now. If it doesn't live it will be a shame but needs doing.


Started the excavation for the root system. Seems like a long vertical main root with strand like roots coming off. It's impossible to not damage some roots but trying to be careful. Also think this will take longer than today so bit worried about the roots I've now exposed. Give it 3 years I might have my garden finished.

As expected I wouldn't have the time, nor the patients to do it in a day and I got worried about exposed roots so I had an idea.


I have covered the roots in a dripping wet fitted bed sheet. I will have this beast out tomorrow before checking my favourite garden. Just need to be sure I have got my koronenbourg and gorilla glue and it will be done!
