    Default Red fly

Hi guys I've just tended to my plants and noticed a small red fly looking thing on my leave I went to try grab itand it sort of hopped off can't see it now but noticed a little brown mark on leaf does anyone have a clue what this could be and how I could get rid of this pest so I'd doesn't cause damage thanks in advance.
