    Default Dehumidifiers

    Hi members.
Quick question, what size dehumidifiers are people using ? The moisture keeps setting my smoke alarms off when I enter the grow room in the mornings. so need a decent dehumidifier to collect excess moisture.

The gr is 1.2 X 2.4 2.0 high. It's situated in a 3 meter by 2 meter room. I have a 6" rvk fan and carbon filter . The situation is. At night when lights are off from 12/6 am the window for fresh air is opened only slightly due to nosey neighbours spotting or hearing fan noise. So I need the dehumidifier to collect excess moisture in these hours.
Normal moisture levels are around 55-60 but rise to 60-70 in these hours.

All depends on whether you plan to drain to waste. Emptying them is a ball ache.

Assuming UK based, humidity is nuts! The joys of a maritime climate!

I would reckon a 20lt unit would do. I use a 10 lt in half the space.

You must be northish! Heat is the issue down here, along with 70% humidity!

Avoid grot and get her running. Also add more fans than you think you need. Airflow is key to combat humidity issues.

Yeah will do , temps aren't to bad up here but the humidity is ridiculous at the moment. I'll pick a few more clip on fans while I'm at it.

most 10lt dehumidifiers will cover a Room that's up to 15m²
should be more than fine with a 10lt

    but......

if it's in the tent/gRoom the air gets removed faster than it can be scrubbed of moisture
my dehumidifiers sits in the room that the air gets pulled in from,

my lights on rH = 45%
    lights off = 55%

room humidity without a dehumidifiers running 24/7 is 75%-80%

Emptying is the pain - depending on how the OP can be attentive / time free.

The second a unit fills up it shuts down. For the extra few quid, living in a wet climate, double up on this one IMO.

Also runs more efficiently as has head room IME.

I'm not to sure of to put the dehumidifier in the room the tent is in or in the tent itself. I've got a 16L just doing nothing so I'll fire that up as soon as I flip 12/12 next week. Just looked in tent lights off , temp 27° and humidity 66% and no doubt will rise due to window being slightly open.
