Default Let's talk about sex baby or sexing

As the title says I want your opinions on sexing beans .
I'm sure face told me to set beans off as per my normal way of germination and then, start the plants under 12/12 from the get up and go .
Until they reveal themselves or there sex and then reveg them in the veg room????

I'm asking as I've just set off some blues from underground originals and I'm sure I started my very 1st journal at the talk with a mature blues ready for the chop .

This isn't just a one hit question thread as I'm going too document my chosen method and my findings although it will probably be face's method I'm interested in hearing everyone's thoughts

Let's hope there's at least one girly girl in them three

Their are reams of papers on this subject but I find Face's method to be the most sensible approach

    Great choice of strain BG

When I did regs I started in small starter pots as you normally would with any seed, then onto a slightly larger size pot once rooted. Around 3L+, the Ugorg’s were always sexed at 4 weeks max under the mh/hps. It was then a case of repotting the fems/preferred phenos into larger pots then another weeks veg and flip

I have used faces method myself works well. These days i just let them go but will have fems mixed in with them so i can remove the males if i need be and still assured of some females to carry on with. If i get females all well and good if not its no biggie. i do get what you mean though BG sometimes they do not like to show sex until the first couple of weeks of flip so yeh room to do this is a advantage. If you do not have the room then sexing early is a advantage.

Ah yes I remember. I’m sure these will serve you well male or female..There wasn't a great deal of phenos if I recall which was surprising being F1. The short indica type pheno was my favourite it had the best terps. BA ran the other pheno which was spitting image of the original blues cut

Hell yeah do it up. 12/12 from the start sounds good I want try that as well.

I've also heard you can switch to flower for a few days once they have about 5 nodes then back tonveg amd they'll all show sex shortly after. It only take one light cycle to change the hormonal shift to flower

Bin the males and put the girls back into veg for some training and take some cuts. Flower the cuts pick out best pheno and keep the mums of best choice.
