Default Growing clone from mothering plant

I have a cutting from a flowering mother about 2 weeks along after rooting. I just moved it a lot closer to light (600w mh) because I had it at 3 feet and a friend of mine said it was probably getting little or no light. This is my first time growing. I'm just trying to get an idea of when to switch to flowering for this plant.

Looking very stretched there mate, unless youve taken the cutting like that?

If im reading your post right youve rooted it first yeah? 600W seems high to me, ive never grown from cuttings so maybe someone with some more experience can teach us both something but id be starting with a 250W at best until theres a bit more growth

EDIT: what light have you got on in the pic?

And how often are you feeding? That soil looks abit wet

I took the cutting like that. It has around 3 more set of leaves than before. 600w Mars hydro. But not answering my question

You create confusion mate... a 600w mh lamp is a metal halide lamp that has different distances than a 600w LED light (Mars Hydro does not make it an MH light)

But you can switch to flower anytime you wish.... myself, I'd like to see the plant look a bit more developed first though.

It is doing well in that light. Has grown 3 sets of leaves since moved to correct distance in 5 days
