Typical council shit mate...over the top so the fee's & charges can be justified

Cant see shit from those pics either, its the timber under the insulation I need to see...sorry

What you need is 2 10x3 ish lengths of timber going from one side of the roof to the other...like the two holding the roof up but on the floor/bedroom ceiling

Doors will work for a 1.2m tent although don't take that as advice incase your roof falls in haha, think I just nailed some MDF to the joists when I did my first grow but kept the weight down and always stood where the joists were

Haha thanks mate. So what the usual thing people do these days to grow in the loft, what you using now for your grow if you dont mind me asking. I thought the loft is the most used place for people, i know its hard to control temps in a tent in the loft but just hoping to do a couple grows a year hopefully.

So do you guys rekon i should get someone in to board my loft ? Theres loads of adverts on gumtree and that

For controlling the temps you want to run your lights at night when temps are lower, decent intake/extraction is paramount.

Cant stress this enough my tents hit 40 this year and thats with a 5" RVK on extraction and 4" RVK taking in cooler air, both on full tilt

No bother dude, check your roof it might have a vent you can make use of that'll make it easier to control temps if you can get one of those tube reflectors aswell they're better for control.

Not the best person to ask re wood, I'm no joiner mate and it was a proper bodge job... it worked though (I did put a ceiling tile through and had to "fix" it before leaving the property though so remember that haha)

I situated my igloo in the apex but it sits on the party wall between the two bedrooms. I used floor boards rather than chip board as I had some available. Because building a stud room allows you to strengthen and sure everything up by transferring loads ect I had no need for hangers ect however that will vary house to house
Pay someone to board ya loft properly mate if you dont know what your doing up there as AND said.

I apologise for my late response to your message.

No roof vent was thinking of asking council to put one in when they were doing the roof but too dodgy i suppose

Yeah mate ill have to get a air cooled hood for sure and one of them temp controllers.

Think im just goin to get someone in to board it or see what my dad can do for me.

Need to get all equipment in again, got rid of everything from last time except a humidifier and few thermometers lol

    Default Going in the loft

Well iv been having a think over the past few days and I’ve decided not to grow in the loft as ill only be battering temps all year round and its going to be a ball ache to clean and board it out ect ect, i put a thermometer up the other day and its been hitting 32c

So anyway iv finally persuaded the mrs to let me use this big walk in cupboard its 3x6x7 foot. I should get 4 decent plants in. Its located upstairs so ill vent into the loft and have a box fan in there.

Appreciate all the help on the loft side and apologies all round

Got a couple questions if anyone can help, iv only ever grew once in a tent so im a bit worried about the smell when growing in an open space like a cupboard, its just got a normal door on the front and rite beside the bathroom.

Does anyone no what size filter for this space I think it was gaz who showed me this fan so just wondering will this be ok for my space? For lights Im going for a 600w dimmable ballast mh/hps

    Cheers

Edit: just seen pic it was gaz cheers mate that fan any good

    Good fan and good plan

3.5 m3 you have and the fan will shift 500 m3...a bit overkill but all good
