"They were adamant that high-potency skunk should not be legalised as it was a contributing factor to street violence and mental illness, despite skunk being “more profitable”. Marvia, a south London mother of four and grandmother in her early forties, said: “If they legalise weed, that would make my life a lot better, but we need to define what we’re talking about. Do not class skunk as weed. It is nasty, it is poison and it is mashing up the youth of today. Weed in itself doesn’t bring violence because everyone is calm but the skunk gets you hyperactive. It’s two totally different things.”

Did they copy this from The Onion, or something?

Skunk is now the same as Spice? Or was that an over enthusiastic auto correct?

Nobody mentioning the fact skunk genetics are in vast amounts of modern strains the money fuels violence not the drug lol. Only aggression I've ever had smoking skunk was when I couldn't open my packet of biscuits

I didn't understand this article. It seems like they are talking of something I have never heard of. What is this Skunk they are speaking of? Doesn't sound like Marijuana, but something else with no explanation.

That's what I mean, I think they had meant Spice, but you know how people's attention spans are like these days. They hear the S and they think that is it, and now, "Skunk = Spice."

Nope, they mean Skunk. The media has decided that Skunk is high THC weed that turns us all in to deranged killers & psychopaths. They have done no research on this, just picked up on a name.... it could have been cheese they picked up on but that would confuse the general public whilst shopping

...anyway, has anyone bothered to look at the strain that British Sugar is legally growing? - Yup, skunk (by the media definition!)

(Lemme put my tin foil hat on...)

I dunno, M_C. There was confusion that was created, that "Skunk is evil", and now that confusion is fuelled some more so no one knows what they are really hearing anymore. People like to be told what they already know.
