    Default First time cooking with

    Hi all,

    Hopefully you do not mind a complete beginner question, I used to smoke regularly about 10 years ago and have decided to have a weekend of eating for old times sake. I have learnt today that I need to bake it before i do to do something called Decarboxylate, but my question is, once I have done this is it ok to just say, chop it up fine and put it in a tomato sauce with pasta or is that basically a waste? Everything I see seems to point to making butter first but I am not sure if this is just for convenience or to keep the potency?

    Any guidance would be awesome please.

    I may be wrong but I think they tend to make butter as it is versatile & is 'bit' free

    Hey,

    Thank you for the reply and welcome!

    I assumed it was because it just would make things easier but I am quite a large titted man already, I would like to steer away from making myself magic butter as I can see myself growing more round with that method!

    We used to have a member that enjoyed cannabis butter on his toast... with marmite on top!

    I think I am just over worrying about wasting a nice weekend, so I have decided to experiment with just 1/4 of what I have and smoke the rest the old fashioned way to be safe

    Curious about this too...my girlfriend has stopped smoking and i really miss getting stoned with her. Dont want to mess about making butter really..

    Prepare for lift off mate if it's been a while

    Once it's decarbed proper you are "good" to go. Can't pretend I haven't eaten it straight lol but it's rough. Brownies are always a good call.

    It's real easy mate. I've got a ton of recipes but here's one you'll love haha

    Betty Crocker brownie mix, coconut oil and bud. Decarb proper and don't operate machinery for 24 hours

    Have a look at lecithin .... it is a fat immobiliser and massively up the power of the cannabolids into the system. Available from Holland & Barrett.

    I now use it with all forms of edibles. Melts ya mind.... or solves your pain!

    Whats your option on decarb temp bro? So many opinions on terps etc :-(

    I've been putting mine in at 165c. Quick Google and I'm more confused. Maybe that's too high but my edibles always kick ass.

    I cook mine 45 minutes at 240 degrees, then cap them up in 25mg caps. Mine also kick butt.

    cooked in on a tray for about 45 mins (I forgot to turn it over / shuffle it about though so hoping that didn't ruin the process), let it cool, chopped it up then cooked a nice tomato and garlic sauce and ate it with pasta, didn't taste grainy or anything. Now waiting to either be disappointed or who knows. Man I am so excited!
