Green light IS photo active. Its a myth to say it isnt. Remove green light from a 600w hps bulb and you will only have around 300w left.

Why are white leds so more impactful than blurple? Green light

Hoping you would say that, but with 6PAR per watt, I don't see how that statement would be true. As I under stand A 250W would have 1,500 par at A certain height, so with that being said, the best range is 900 to 1,000 PAR at 12" center I think. If this sounds wrong, then please inlightenme Please.

Hi mate, spectrum ( colour) has nothing to do with watts ( power)

You can have 100w of red, 100w of blue or 100w of mixed etc

Well then 100W of HPS would have 600 PAR color? Is this not correct?

I know the answer to this one, but don't know what the science is all about it though. White Light will grow bigger and better buds, the only set back, is it cuts down A small amount of the over all THC that is produce with the Red light that is added for such that reason.

    PAR is photosynthetic active radiation

Any colour of light between 400nm and 700nm will add together and will be picked up by a PAR meter.

It doesnt matter which colour, it still makes PAR

I would say 100w hps will produce 100 PAR (umol per second is the unit)

This is why PAR number isnt very helpful. You need to know the PAR for every colour ideally.

HPS makes good PAR but is very low in blues and some reds

Look at your bloombuster light. Its all red but make some big ass flowers

Science is very confussion to me. I read lots of stuff, and don't ever really have A good understanding of it all, I just know like you say, Red will grow faster and bigger than any other color. But My Bloom Buster does have about 8 blue lights in it I think , and Four UV lights with the rest being all RED. It all drives me nuts some times. Most of my only real knogledge is just from trial and error. lol

I think you got a very good understanding to be honest

Spectrum is for fine tuning, research and development. While white leds are so efficient, why bother with other colours (that will cost more too)

Well couldn't say the same about MH Lighting? It does also grow bigger Buds, and the down fall on small amount of THC lost couldn't be much you would think, Not real sure though.
