Hey y'all! The kids were gone this weekend so I decided to get some flower sorted out. The title is a bit misleading as I actually processed 5 oz not 4 but here goes.
I used a Dabpress 6 ton press purchased from Amazon. Ive had this press for a bit now testing it out. I have ran 5 oz or so through it in batches testing things out prior to this run. I use a cylinder prepress with a hand clap to make 10g pucks. I think a square press would work better and plan on changing soon. Ive used 120 and 90 micron bags, i prefer the texture of the 120 rosin. These are the cylinder bags from pressclub, they bust on me alot but Im green and haven't used others.
This is Colorado cookies thats been curing since 7/20. This is at %62 rh and broken up by hand to pre press.
I get 15-20% per press of 210f for 2 minutes. I do not press twice as I make edibles instead.
This is some critical jack also cured to %62 and harvested on 7/20. She was decarbed.
I borrowed this little machine to make some coconut oil with. Really handy and Ill probably end up getting one.
And here is what I ended up with. I did the butter in a slow cooker. I find the butter made from press chips are very green.
Thank yall for reading! I dont claim to know what Im doing so Ill take any suggestion you have!
