    Default Fabric pots, algae?

Hey all, not sure which section to post this in but I've chosen one now. Please move if there is a more appropriate one.

I have had three plants now that towards the end developed green algae (could be wrong!) on the outside of the pots. Luckily this has always been towards the end of flower and I haven't noticed any thing bad from it but then I'm pretty oblivious to things at times).

Here's a pic what do you think, have you guys had this?

In coco watering either once or twice a day depending on weather (when it's a must) and time (I'm a lazy sod). Water straight out of tap, left for 24 and used. Ec 0.6.

Itll be down to the fact theres plenty of light in there and the fabrics probably staying moist! I never get it on the airpots but as Ice mentioned in your diary, some 3% hydrogen peroxide sprayed on the pots and wiped off should be fine

Cheers dude yeah ice is a legend with the cure I was just wondering whether I was alone in this or if there is something I can do to avoid it. Either way it hasn't bothered me yet just going to give it a good clean.

Can I say I am growing in living coco now??

Always know when I've watered mine too much (soil) as I get the algae too, as said its a reaction between the moisture & the amount of light

Awesome dude it is reassuring to know others encounter this sort of thing... I didn't know how I was going to hide it in my pictures lol

Not a clue if this is good advice or not really but it's what I do - spray lightly around the pot with something reasonably but not stupidly strong, dettol or bleach or whatever, right before watering, being careful to water from the centre out with plenty of runoff. That way you can get a decent chemical on the surface but the runoff will wash it away for you. Always best to be cautious if unsure but it seems to work for me at least!
