    Default Bathroom extraction fan

    Good evening.

A few weeks ago while at work I found a heap of bathroom extraction fans that had been dumped into the skip. I picked the best looking one. took it home, wired it up, and it works very well.

Now i'm using it to pull in air as it does an amazing job.

I did a quick Google search to ask if these fans can be run 24/7 and I found this.

You should not, however, leave the fan on 24/7. If you run the fan constantly the ball bearings inside will lock up. This can cause the motor to overheat, which can, in turn, cause a fire. Dust and lint do get caught in these fans.

Can you guys advise me on this. As I've spent a good few hours in my attic tonight finding the best way to install it. And now I'm about to go back up there and remove it.

    Cheers everyone.

Put it on your light timer so it can turn off . Or a seperate timer .let it ru for an hr then off for 15 .

The motors are quite cheap . Bet it dont cost more then 2$ to make those lol they burn out after a few years .

Maybe as an intake for when the lights are on & off for dark periods?
