Default 5 days into first grow need help

Ok so where to begin, I’ve recently started my first grow I probably should of done a little more research before I started but here I am.
I’m currently growing 3 purple punch autos from barneys farm I germinated the seeds no problem but when I planted the seeds I think I over watered, everywhere I read it said to water until water starts coming out of the bottom of the pot I did that and to be fair they have grown but one of the cotyledon leave on one plant seems to have died I haven’t watered them since the first day I planted them which was 5 days ago and the coco still seems a little damp also I think my light may have been a little too far away as they seem quite tall for how young they are so me is about 4 inches tall is this normal, what should I do any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve attached some pictures for you to all to see.

Hi and welcome to the forum Bakesman, seedlings stretch like that most times because of lack of light, perhaps lowering your lights a little will help (temperature permitting). The cotyledons can get damaged, I would not worry about that at all.

Get some air blowing on them to help strengthen those stems, some use cut up straws to hold them up

You cannot overwater in coco. Over feed yes but not overwater.

You need a pH pen and a EC pen to do coco.

Your girls are a little leggy so lower the light a few inches and see what happens. Otherwise your feed strength looks good.

Definatly a ph pen ,and as jumper says you can't over water, and don't read the label on the bottle for serving directions ..it usually 1/3 or a 1/4 of what the bottle tells you

Yeah I’m using a LED light and there’s not a lot of info about what height to have those I’ve saw everything from 6 to 30 inches I’m currently at about 10 inches now has I was probably double that before and there is a fan inside the grow room to help with strength Thanks for the reply.

Ec pen measures the strength of feed in layman’s terms.

You need this to gauge your background water strength and then amount of nutes to add.

Very easy to poison a girl in coco.

You can do coco with just a pH pen but as a newbie I would not bother for 20 quid for a cheap one from Amazon.

    Cheaper than nutes.

I'll argue this till the cows come home ..YOU DONT need to EC at all ,however it's ideal for a new grower but no way is it essential,I've never owned one in my life

I’m using snoop doggs nutrients as it’s made specifically for cannabis and I’m following their guidelines on what to add and when so I’m hoping I won’t need a ec pen hopefully all goes well.
