    Default rust spots...AGAIN!

    Soil or hydro or coco:soil

    Strainark Devil

    Photo or Auto:Auto

    plant age:28 days

    pot size:15L

has it been repotted? and when?:N/A

    soil type:OT Plant Magic

nutes or additives used and how often for soil: 1 feed of 1.5ml per litre of organicus 99 yesterday

    Air temps (max min):27

    Res temps (max min):22

    humidity:45-55

lighting type and wattage (hps, led, cfl): ISH 150 PRO QB LED

    Light schedule:22/2

Sorry for the pic quality. I seem to have this or similar issues whenever I grow one of the Black strains. Everything fine through veg then when flowering starts the rust spots begin, then the yellowing and eventual dying of the leaves. It's different this time round as the rust spots are not randomly appearing over the leaves as before but very uniform, they are appearing on the serrations of the leaves. Ive tried multiple things in the past but nothing seems to work and the plant ends up in such a shit state that I only get it to harvest limping over the line,(but funnily has never effected the buds, always finish well.) So, deficiency? lockout? I have no bloody idea?

Hmm could it be phosphorus and its huge uptake of it upon flowering?

Maybe?...I mean, these Black strains grow proper quick, stupidly fast with my previous grows,(49 days from seed to harvest with my last,) and maybe they struggle or need like a massive injection of phosphorus as they transition from veg to flower? This one though has been really sensitive from the beginning with burnt tips from the soil, hence why I havnt added any nutes until yesterday.anyways, i'll try and get her through. Ive got 3 more dark devil seeds and after this grow i think im going to do a little experimentation....

I'm having similar problems on mine, I'm not using PM soil though but the nutes and it's ALWAYS as flower is Induced, I recently read somewhere that someone was having similar issues and they switched their bloom from PM to another brand not sure what but he said as soon as the switched the food they was fine and healthy again.. so after this grow is finished, in the bin go my nutes and outcomes the bhuddas tree organicus!

Ive tried canna terra soil,PM and another one but cant remember the name? and it's happened everytime,BUT only to black strains, ive never had the same issue with any other strain. At first i thought it was the PM bloom or even the pk 4-8 but used organicus 99 on my last grow and it happened with my blackberry and not the northern lights......its bloody weird!

Imo the issue is the PM soil and your water source, the ph buffering ability of this brand come flower isn't great. Its ideal for vegging plants but come flower it locks out most vital elements, giving the exact symptoms you mention. Change the medium on the next grow and add some ph stability like calcified seaweed or lime and you shouldn't have these issues.

as above, used 2 other soils but had same problems but will try calcified seaweed or lime next time. just trying to do a process of elimination ad the only common factor ive found is strain type.

I've been using pm soil for nearly 3 years and never had any problems until 12 months ago
I thought it was the Fastbuds strains I was exclusively growing, getting rust spots but as long as the buds didn't look hampered I cracked on
Now looking back and reading blues and kurdts thoughts I think it could be the soil or my Severn trent supply which smell like crap but can't do anything about that
Trying jacks magic soil by accident now so I'll see if rust spots return and if rust spots do return I'll go back to using Fish Mix, that's when things were going swimmingly

    Love ya blue lol

Add 5% benonite clay to your next soil mate and say goodbye to any pH issues, its the single best pH buffer jn any soil and wiill buffer virtually anything.

I can find the paper if ya like

You've kinda answered a part of the question here mate, you have tried 3 different soils and they all do this, which means its not soil but something else? I'd look at nutes and the timing of them.

If these are that rapid there will be huge demand for P,K UPON flowering (which is why we use heavily l;oaded nutes of P,K for flower.

So if your plant was sat in same soil for a month and got a fair size, but you only just started using nutes, this is probably it mate. They dont look just rusty they look lime green too me also which indicates a deficiency of NPK. In my book that screams hungry plant.

From what i remember the PM Range is stand alone bottles on for grow 1 for flower. Personally i would get a bit more grow feed in, followed by a bloom schedule. You may need to use grow again at some point through flower if the nitrogen in bloom is so minimal.

The plant looks ok, got some size you just need to nail down this nutrient regime.
