Default grass smell but doesn't normally happen

Hi I pulled down 2 of my plants and hung them for about 3 days with a fan blowing that way then cut them into colas and stuck them in a paper bag and hung it in the top of my tent for a day and they were dry... So I rushed the process usually I just hang it until dry and it'd fine..2 odd weeks... . Now it's been about a week and Iv got them in tubs but the grassy smell is underlying... It's freaked me as this doesn't normally happen.. Do I just need to keep the bud in the dark for a few weeks more I no its had no cure.. But I can usually make stinky weed with no cure when dried properly.

Sounds like they have dried to fast mate 3 days seems very quick. Dont have a fan directly facing buds either point it at a wall so it still moving air.

A good cure should hopefully bring the stain smell back.

IMHO It's all in the cure

Yes it was silly fast I'm just praying this grassy smell lifts.... In theory it has to if I give it time.. I should never of rushed it.. Was more down to peer pressure... 1 guess after a week you could expect the smell to still be there.. Iv had a terrible run I got caught out by really high summer temps 3 plants got heat stroke 1 completely foxtailed... And now Iv gone and done this... I have plenty more but I'd rather not have 3 oz of hey

Mc have you seen people pull out of this? I'll put it in jars for 2 months now than loose it to horse feed.... Whats more I was blagged into pulling it right before the big swell 4 days later all other plants were really dense and solid. Bet the fan blew loads of trichomes off and heat in the bags ruined terpines.. I don't need it to be ultra smell just not grass. Then I'll be pleased it wasn't wasted

Best tip I can give is trim off the big fans then hang the whole plant to dry mate then dry trim. I was forever getting the hay smell until I started doing that. A good cure will help mate.

Thanks for any help offered but can I keep it known I can cure perfectly well normally... Likely could get better but I bet alot could
Thing is this 3 oz Iv rushed it's grassy I don't no if Iv wasted my time as I had the humidity to 45% so it was dry Iv rehydrated with some buds and am trying to cure.... I can smell the right smell but that grass is there.. Like on the pineapple chunk you can smell pineapple.. I no its never going to be strong now Iv damaged the terpines Im just looking for reassurance I can get this grass out or am I stuck with it? I guess after 4 odd days you could expect grass to still be there...
The rest of the herb I'm drying slow.

Doesn't even matter if I cure then it smells nice been curing for 4 years... Just stupidly got blagged to do things wrong

I've bought weed with a grassy smell, normally goes after sitting for a few weeks. I think you are just waiting for the chlorophyll to break down into sugars.

The Grassy smell is normally a sign of being not dry enough , that will turn into an amonia smell if your not carefull and then it would be ruined ..... Put it out to dry more , buy a mini hygrometer and jar some of it with hygrometer inside and you will get a true reading of how damp it is , youve got to get it down tp 60-65% which is the curing zone or 55% for long term storge .... I store with a bavida humidity pack at 62% rh

Thanks for your advice I bought a hygrometer on advice from mc about 2 years ago... we are both in the same zone as to 65 which is where mine is at

... Although I had to rehydrate to get this and I have read that I'm wasting my time as the plant is dead and now all I'm doing is making a dead plant damp... But surely that moisture will move some flavour about dead or not.... Iv not produced for a year and it showed I did loads of newbie mistakes but my mate was,a cunt as he said dry it quickly then wasn't happy when it wasn't perfect... Again my fault I should of just gone on as I no... Reason I'm mentioning my mate I owe him a few oz either way he will get it mixed in with some good stuff ??
