I have to do some digging in the garden the coming week, when I encounter a proper earthworm I'll grab a picture for you, they are huge!
The compost worms that I have mostly live in manure so they are not really an option and quite small.
Plenty of woodlice here also which are not far off from shrimp, botanically speaking.
But I may as well go and catch crayfish somewhere and start farming them.
So many options available that it's very unlikely that I would starve no matter how bad things may get.

eating worms yuc! But they make quick work in my compost pile.
Cleargeen I use my compost mixed with perlite nothing else added.
I throw everything in my compost, meats bones, veggies, dairy, eggs, everything my kids don't eat I mean everything. I do balance it with browns and greens to keep it from being loaded with to much nitrogen.

I used to chuck bones in as well but it didn't take long for the garden to look like a graveyard because the bones take ages to decompose and somehow always end up on the surface so I stopped doing that to not upset the vegan visitors too much

They do take a while to break down but the whole time it's breaking down it's is feeding your girls calcium and other trace minerals.
Besides I bake those bones for a while and break them into smaller pieces before adding to my compost.

Lol you sure we couldn't tempt you with a little worm soup, added salt and pepper?

This is not what you might think btw, I have genuine gardening to do

@CT34 yeah baking and breaking them would certainly speed up the process, I didn't do any of that.
