I have to do some digging in the garden the coming week, when I encounter a proper earthworm I'll grab a picture for you, they are huge!
The compost worms that I have mostly live in manure so they are not really an option and quite small.
Plenty of woodlice here also which are not far off from shrimp, botanically speaking.
But I may as well go and catch crayfish somewhere and start farming them.
So many options available that it's very unlikely that I would starve no matter how bad things may get.

eating worms yuc! But they make quick work in my compost pile.
Cleargeen I use my compost mixed with perlite nothing else added.
I throw everything in my compost, meats bones, veggies, dairy, eggs, everything my kids don't eat I mean everything. I do balance it with browns and greens to keep it from being loaded with to much nitrogen.

They do take a while to break down but the whole time it's breaking down it's is feeding your girls calcium and other trace minerals.
Besides I bake those bones for a while and break them into smaller pieces before adding to my compost.

This weird fellow named Donald that always walked around without pants talking to little kids.
This is not what you might think btw, I have genuine gardening to do
@CT34 yeah baking and breaking them would certainly speed up the process, I didn't do any of that.
