    I live in the Napa Valley, and it's now the middle of "Crush". For amateur winemakers a lot of the vineyards will let you do the "second pick" for free after the main harvest, as those grapes go to waste In my area it's mostly Pinot Noir, and Cabernet. I don't drink wine, but I have made juice from the wine grapes, after a little adjusting of the sweetness it's very good, and each variety has it's own distinct taste. You do have to be careful not to store it too long or it will start to ferment, even in the fridge!

    Resurrecting an old thread...The grapes are coming on well this year. 11 year old vine yielding well...
