Default Black orchid for intake and outtake?

Hi, I may have got a bit confused, first timer. Got all the gear I need,I've ordered a black orchid intake fan that'll be here today for extraction.

Can you even use this for extraction as it says intake fan? Didn't occur to me as it was in the extraction section. It's 4" off amazon 17 quid. Grow tent is only 75x75x130 cm. Running low on pennies now so if I can use it as intake and outtake I'll order another. Well aware these are not the best and will look to upgrade in the future but now I'm buying everything for the first time and thought I had all I need. Don't know how I missed off air intake lol.

The issue is with a carbon filter you need a bigger extraction fan to the inlet fan. 6” vs 4” for instance. You need to generate negative pressure.

I don’t run an inlet fan - they are not necessary. Especially heading into the cooler
    Months.

Save your hard earned! Get a good extraction fan.

It'll be fine for intake but no use as extraction

Intake & extraction fans are different powers mate

Ok I see so if you don't have an intake fan a 4" extractor would be ok? But extraction needs to be bigger than intake, is that what people mean when they say about the tent sucking in?

So I'll need to buy a new fan for extraction anyway lol, thought I had it locked down, and if I don't use intake just stick it in the cupboard for a rainy day

I'd say for that size tent a Can-Fan CAN RK125 will be perfectly fine, go with the 'L' version of the same if your ducting will be long/have a few bends in..better to go for more, than end up with less

Thanks man, RK125 L 350m/3 an hour 71 squid, that sound about right? All seem to say you need to wire it but comes with a plug.

Yeah - you see the tent billow in.
