I'll keep you posted, I'm looking at a 120x60x200cm tent and the SP 250 for bloom and using the existing set up for veg due to high restriction.
So much to learn, so little time to learn it

Those Mars Hydro SP250 look interesting too.

I wonder how it would perform against the invisible sun 265 XL. Or would it definitely no questions asked be worth the extra £100 for the Invisible Sun.

Height is something I wasnt too concerend about but yeah thinking about it a 180 height tent would probably be better than a 150 height tent I was just trying to conserve some heat with out needing to consume extra power from heating. But I was going to scrog with small 5l pots so height might not be so much of an issue tbh.

Not sure whether to just get a ts1000 for vegging in my 60x60 space and buying an sp250 for a 120x60 flowering tent.

Or spending a little extra and going for an ISH 265 XL type R and using the small ISH 120 60w board for vegging with a home made frame and driver etc.

I can find loads of light intensity tests and reviews on the Mars SP250s but not so many on the Invisible sun units to compare.

I mean if watts are watts then the 245w mars should do much better than the 100w sun. They also state similar umols/J

I'm interested in trying out growing with LEDs after using HID's for well over 10 year.

Mainly the electricity usage draws me.

I see they seem to have come on leaps and bounds, they used to be ££££'s and the yields were nothing spectacular.

Now they seem you can pick them up for the same price as HIDS and the results seem pretty impressive.

Is a true 1gpw actually achievable, some are claiming up to 2gpw.

I also need to know what manufactures should I be looking at and anything to particular to look out for in the specs, I've noticed ppfd being measured a lot.

Are the Mars Hydro units any good? I like it how they incorporate infa red as well.

Could I make my own? I was going to do a vertical grow with the 250 hps in the dr60 to maximise yields but with the led panels being one direction this becomes a problem, if I could use a few smaller ones aimed at each wall like strip lights this could be a possibility?

Would be looking to replace a 250w dsp HID or a 600w MH/HPS. Have not made my mind up what size tent to use yet. (60x60 or 100x100)

Heat out put as well, do they generate enough to not need to run a heater if the tent is in the house. Kind of cancels out the electricity savings if you need to add heat as well.

Any input would be great as Im totally in the dark when it comes to LEDs and I would like to learn.

    TIA
Ive done 2.6gpw with my ish320 3000k . Quite impressive tbh . The frost levels are out of this world . HPS cant even touch em . This 320w led lamp is worth a 600w hands down . Only thing is theres less light spread unless you make a reflector witch i will.make eventually

HLG do side reflectors mate but they are not much more than folded polished stainless so sure you can make similar
