    I just got a new ph meter and found out my old meter was showing 0,3 more than actual value. When I adjusted my ph with ph down my ec suddenly went from 0.4 to 1.0 very quickly. It have been on 0.4 for a very long time.

    Yeah pH down will shift EC. It should settle down though.

    Less than 0.3 EC background water needs calmag IMO.

    Background water is 0.2, but how much cal mag should i use? I added 25ml of each in my rdwc and it went up 0.6

    Ouch . Thats alot . Thats 1ml per L about .

    Try 1/4 to 1/3 the volume you use of your base nutrients a and b for calmag .
    Thats my recipe for success with Remo nutrients .

    If on r.o or distilled . Use a bit more .

    I tried with 3ml of cal and 3ml of mag. Now my EC is at 0.5

    This is about one week after I changed my res and adjusted to 0.4 EC
    I also topped them last saturday thats why they look a little deformed.
