    Default Airflow advice

Evening fellow stoners, after some advice on an airflow question. I am currently pushing air through some ducting to a T piece/junction. Is the air going to come out the the 2 holes equally or one more than the other? Is there a way to get more air coming out one hole over an other? Thanks in advance guys

Air will follow the path of least resistance so if the paths are of equal length and number of bends etc then should be equal.

A Y would be much more efficient than a T fwiw

It's a complicated answer & all to do with the resistance of air flow at the end point
It's Not What You Know, It's What You Can Prove

Thanks for the quick reply Gardro so if I added a 4 inch reducer on one side it go out the 5 inch hole more? Not got the space for a Y piece its for getting air to both sides of the scrog net in a 90 x 90cm space

Most folk just shove in air in one corner and it will do a good job of making its way around. Also most just use a passive intake.

However, in theory the reducer will create back pressure by accelerating the flow so the majority of air would prefer to go through the bigger opening ( assuming all other variables are constant)

Not sure if the 5 to 4 restriction would make that much difference though. Might need add a few bends too.
