Calmag adds calcium and magnesium. Essentially Epsom Salts. Ideal if you have soft water or need a boost if growing under LED QBs for instance.

By its nature it is very caustic to roots at high levels. To be used with care and with understanding.

I suspect amongst issues you have lockout due to a build up of salts so the plant cannot utilise the nitrogen. Let alone the pH issue likely to arise. Measure your runoff to see the level of damage.

Really helpful info, seems like I really screwed up. Will start again from scratch and keep a diary this time so that hopefully I won't make stupid mistakes again. Thanks very much for your help

I hate seeing a plant die :-( Happy to help nurse her through. Will be tough at 4 weeks.

Can you put into a coco pot?

If you have space start one more ;-)

Yeah i think what you have read is that using cal mag (when itsd deficient) can help to pull the absorbtion of nitrogen. But then i dont really know either, i just know i read that some where but never really looked into it as i have cal in my water and rarely needed cal mag.

In future check here before adding stuff as there is a lot of shite conflicting bollox out there on the net...Here is where you will find true time tested growers that know their shit.

With thoise high EC numbers you mention hhhhm what is the ec of plain water from your tap? it may have a high ec in which case you most likely will never need cal mag.

Really appreciate all the advice. Was thinking to transplant the best looking plant into soil as I have decided to start the second from scratch with theee new autos, gelato, jack herer and lemon AK. Seeds went into soak in water this morning and now going on some damp kitchen paper to sprout. I started the last ones in an Aerogarden with low nutes and they started fine with rapid growth in a week. Should I just start straight in the proper grow set up this time? My led light is full spectrum and not adjustable at all. Cheers

That is soft water. Lucky you!

Around week four I would add calmag to my water to buffer up to 0.3 before adding nutes.

I would not use until then.
