    I'd often wondered as it wasn't until I hit, 'modern' bikes before they dared to put electric starts on them - and the old lights were a bit hit & miss

    My bikes never had lights.
    RM 125 blue engine two power bands every gear and ran on aviation fuel
    Kx250 same as above and my maxi 500 nearly killed me when a jumped the canal but the five0 wouldn't attempt it so I always have them the finger once a landed on the other side

    Twas a C...swapped it for a Steve Davis signed cue, lol...misjudged a corner (17 & clueless) hit a Hillman Avenger...bent the Avenger wing, my leg, the forks and broke the headlight...had to walk the damn thing home too...never felt pain like it

    I used to have a 1964 TV175 lambretta ,they don't have a battery ,the lights are powered using a dynamo

    Sorry not a dynamo ,a magneto is used to power lights
