    Default Growing with LED Lights

Hi guys its been 5 years since I been on here due to 1 problem or another but anyways am back now and thinking about growing 2 or 3 plants for pain relief as I have fibromyalgia.

My main problem as with a lot of people is the cost of electric so had been wondering if in the last 5 years if LED lighting had come along any since I last grew?

would love to see what people are up too if you do use Led or a cheap form of lighting

    Good to be back

LED'S are getting better all the time. Here is an China Cheap Bloom Buster pulls 222 wall watts, and will grow plants 6+oz and up, depending on the training.

LEDs are killing it mate. Have a look at the sponsors Invisible Sun. Their lights constantly achieve 1+how but there's many decent lights now.

I run just over 200watts in a 75x50cm and my PB in 350g in 11-12weeks. You'll want a dimmable light so you can really pinch the penny's. Run some quick autos is the best way to keep the bills down.

    Hope that helps mukka

Ive been using the ISH150 Pro LED, which i think is one of the smallest Invisible Sun's lights, it will cover a 3ft by 3ft area for veg and 2.5ft by 2.5ft in flower.I grow two plants at a time, they really are excellent lights.Like you, electricity costs was a big thing for me and to be honest, since using the LED i havnt noticed much difference in costs to if i wasnt doing a grow. Auto's are super fast growers, quickest ive grown from seed to harvest was 49 days but they need a minimum of a 18/6 light cycle, 20/4 or even 24hrs on is better. Best of luck!

Kurdt said it all^^^ Dry weight after Cure, and one plant, if you learn how to train and make the most of it, will produce as much as Two plants. Good luck and happy growing.

    I prefer Photo's my self.

There are so many different autos now..some staying small, with some growing quite large.. and everything in between!..it's best to both check the additional information when checking out strains and then checking that information to make sure it's generally correct by reading member diaries of the strain

You could also open up a new thread asking the members for advice on recommended short growing auto strains

Depending on what climate you live in mate then heat will be a big issue. I grow in the uk and the LED board that I use does not give off enough heat to heat my tent so I have to run 2 tube heaters so you might want to take that into account.
