    Default Iec to plug

Think this is the best place for this. I bought a lumii cool tube, the lamp holder has a IEC connection not a plug, googled a bit and saw you can buy connectors for them that look just like my laptop charger cable. The lamp holder says 10a/250v but the plug says 13a/250v. Can I use the laptop cable as a connector so it can go in the wall socket? Very very limited electrical knowledge.

Also give Thanks if you smiled inside when you read "but the plug"

Your plug is rated higher than your lamp holder so that is fine

You get two types of laptop charger leads, I assume yours is the one in the pic? Again, that's fine
