Anyone used a self adhesive zipper on their tent before? Do they hold up against time? I don't trust my diy skills to be able to build a light proof door on a wardrobe so thinking of making a zipped opening inside the doors.

I found a cheap tent with the door about the right size, ripped the front of the tent off & battoned it to the door frame

I was thinking of doing that but worried the zip usually keeps going around the other walls of the tent to hold it together so I wasn't sure how I'd combat that. Also finding it hard to find the perfect size tent for that... and if I do it ain't cheap

I've never had a problem with zips (yet!)
The tent I used, the door side was 60x185 Fitted a treat

Actually I take that back... looking like a 60x60x140 tent could be used as my dimensions will be 80x50x140. So if I use the front and 20cm of the side panel I'll have my 80cm width. Might need to look for one where the window vents dont get in the way but they go for about 35 squid on fleabay for the cheaper options. I can prob use a lot of the rest of the tent to line the cupboard.

It's the inner door dimensions that are what you want...
My width was 58cm & the height (I forget) was for the door as both the inner width & height were larger

I was planning on building a cupboard, but after scouring the usual sites, I've found a pine one that'll work. I'd post a pic but tapa wants me to go VIP and I'm not sure about that.
34 inch width (86.36cm)
54.5inch height (138.43cm)
19 inch depth (48.26)
It has two draws at the bottom. Plan on taking them out and using the draw fronts as part of a hinged panel instead. Inside will be the extract fan and the Cf. I'll make the area as sound proof and air tight as I can. Itll have a hole drilled out of the side where I'll connect it to the vent in the wall adjacent to the wardrobe. I''ll have another hole on the back corner leader into the grow area and have my extract pulling air through and pushing it through the Cf into the box and then the positive pressure in the box should push air out the vent.
I'll add combi ducting in the tent if I feel I need to be extracting from the top of the grow area. Will depend on temps.
