Just to add to all of this.. it's more than just growing for a lot of us, it's a passion and we are a collective of growers who wish to share a passion with each other and what better way than to show and share?..in a diary which will show the process from start to finish

Kind of like joining a fishing forum and asking why they share the pictures of what they catch (as an example).

100% agree, the few ppl that know i grow if i starting talking about it the main question is "when will it be ready", no its not as simple i try to explain..i see it like a mixture of science and art..im crap at science and art,so i need to wing it :P

Diaries are a great point of reference and for new growers it's an excellent way of getting help and advice if something's going wrong for them they can stick up a few pics and they have probably dozens of growers there to give advice and get them back on track, also people like to put up pics when things are going well and receive praise everyone loves a bit of praise now and again, like just mho

Before I was a grower I used to spend a lot of time following diaries. Watching other people grow was what got me into growing. And like Trex said.... to show off lol.

Keeping a diary is 125% less futile than asking why anyone would keep a diary.

Growers diaries are the best point of reference on here I'd say, yeh you can just make a thread and ask a direct question but going through past diaries looking for answers to the 1 question you're asking will 9/10 bring up answers to questions you aren't even asking yourself yet but will be in the future. Or random chat in someone's diary will highlight another problem you've been trying to find answers to.

Lol when i wing it . I just mean i go according to the plants needs
From strain to strain .especially autos if id go buy older feed schedules id fry some right out of the pot lol
