Default Auto v fem - what makes you pick one over the other?

As the title says, what makes you pick one over the other?

Time period? Shorter overall from start to finish

Overall electronic costs? 12/12 rather than 18/6?

    Or just personal preference?

Just curious as I'm considering one after the new year and it's got me thinking of going down the fem route again or sticking with autos like I did in the past

I prefer photo fems since I get to decide when to flower. If they are having issues in veg I can correct them before flowering. If I want to train I can take my time.

I suffer high RH at summer so decided to run some blackberry autos, lights on most of the time so rh dont get to 90's for 12 hrs.. wont do that again anyway ..

Its just lacking stability, 5 seeds all different phenos, different shape, size and structure, 2 are chopped one ugly fluffy buds great high great taste.. i fawked her with too little water for a week she locked out... Still great smoke. Other one isnt as potent. Can smoke half a gram alone...
Waitin 2-3 weeks more now for other 3 plants...

Breeder says 8 weeks seed to harvest. PMSFL. We @ 100 days now. First chop was at 87 days from seed....

I run both. Autos allow me to keep the lights on for longer in winter, meaning less additional heat needed in the loft.

You mean like fun the autos then when you chop them turn it to 12/12 to finish the fems? I've done that but tend to find the autos over run and the fems become like trees in that period

I think you mean autoflowers (autos) v Photoperiods (photos)

Fems are just feminised seeds that could either be auto or photo, depending on what you purchase

No mate I run 3 tents on shared ventilation. I'll run autos in one tent, another tent is veg and autos and the 3rd tent is for flowering.
