Howdy good folks so getting my groom upgrades ready for new beans and winter run now i could do 2 things with my lights.. tent is 1.2x1.2m

    1. x2 open reflectors @400w hps each
    2. Add a 240w QB to my 600w hps cooltube

If option 2, what would be the best placement for hps+qb mix..

    Thanks guys

At 1.2 sq you pretty much have it covered with the 600 hps.

You may well fit a quantum board in but the coverage of both lights would then not be optimised

If you are happy with the running cost of the hps then a blue leaning strip or 2 would bring some lovely spectrum to the hps"

    Thanka gardro,
Im not happy with the 600 hps coverage tbh.
I need a parabolic shade which isnt available for me.

Electricity is not a concern, at summertime with ac i run 1300 watts.. so winter id love to spare those extra 600 watts the ac is using for more yield.

Could you provide a purchase link for the blue streap you mentioned? Not quite sure what u mean.

P.s i bought this piece last week for 15$ to supplement my hps..

Waiting for the pic to show up, not loading for me.

You certainly dont need any red biassed strips if you are keeping your hps and that what are mostly on offer.

Some 4-5000K diy samsung strips would be ideal. Thats what i would do.

There are QB11 strips from HLG in all the discrete colours

I see brother thanks, is that because plants already exposed to enough reds and more of the same spectrum will just go to waste?

The pic is a generic 6500k 36w led strip. Ill post from laptop later

Thats it. HPS has that end in spades. You can always add more, but in my opinion, you will get better fruit from a more complete spectrum.

For each side of the hps yes that could work. Wouldnt need too many more watts in that space though without CO2 - diminishing return territory

    Loads of light options available

    I could get 2 x 120w @ 4000k

30% more expensive than a single 240. Worth the price to your opinion?
