    I will say it again. My last 2 bluelab needed to be calibrated every two weeks minimum with heavy drifting after 2 months use. Milwaukee PH55 is still on first calibration after a few months and only 0.1 off.

    Not nearly as expensive as a bluelab and imho it is significantly better. It can be a bit slow. For full accuracy it takes about 6 minutes. It is very close to accurate quickly.

    From reading through feedback from the forum, if I was in the market for a new PH pen, my choices would be ;

    Milwaukee PH55
    Essentials Ph pen
    ETI pH Pal Plus - (The one I have and does not fluctuate for weeks and weeks).

    Glad to hear that the ETI is working out for you! Never tested that or the essentials. I can only give negative feedback for bluelab, HM and every cheap chinese knockoff that I have tried.

    Yep I can absolutely recommend the ETI mate..very impressed with it, as you know I would have gone with the Milwaukee PH55, if there wasn't a mix up regarding the change of name here in the UK (MARTINI)

    Little tip for keeping your pH and Ec meter accurate between calibrations....Always rinse in clean water or better under a running tap to remove any residue of your feed solution...If you just put it away after use the water will evaporate off leaving concentrated nutes and mineral deposits, the probe can end up with a film of these deposits similar to when your kettle scales up particularly if your in a hard water area...During a grow I always keep mine with the probes submerged in a beaker of clean water. I clean my probes once a month by soaking them in lemon juice for half hour then giving them a good rinse...I've got 2 essentials pH metres, 1 essentials Ec meter and 1 bluelabs truncheon for around 8 years and they still working fine..

    Regards BL

    Great tip this Bud, and makes perfect sense..I went out and purchased some storage solution for my PH pen, but I'm sure the lemon soak for half an hour as you said would do just as well and for a lot less £

    The point I take from this is that 8 years ago bluelab made them different. I always clean well and store in a shot glass with storage solution. Mine never dries out and never gets put away dirty.
