Default Cold steam and HPS bulb

The RH is only 25% in my grow room. So, I got a humidifier with cold steam which works fine but shut it down, when I saw all the steam around the bulb because afraid of the bulb explode. What're your thoughts? May the cold steam explode the hot bulb or what would be the solution?

P.S. I am using a parabolic reflector and not interested to use any other solutions which cover the bulb.

Hello THC Prince, well I always make sure to have a fan circulating close by to my humidifier, the trick is to get it the right distance...too close and it can make your fan soaking wet..get it right and it just spreads the mist evenly around the area, rather than in one spot.

It takes a little fiddling but it's definitely possible

I can see why you question this...

I've never had an issue when I have done this myself but, as Ice says, use a fan to circulate the air....

A boundary layer exists around the bulb literally separating the cold air from the temperature at the surface of the bulb.

The glass wouldnt even feel it basically

might be off topic a bit but does relate to this
I am a welder and work on high pressure boilers where to blow off goes to top of building the pipe has to be 180 degrees bend cos of the heat.
if it was straight when it rained into the pipe it would be like a bomb the boiler would blow up

think its pretty much same principle

but to be honest all I do is weld go to work switch my brain off and think about getting stoned when I get home
leave the thinking to my pipefitter

Your better off conditioning your air prior to it being drawn into the grow area if at all possible...I'm not a fan of placing humidifiers, dehumidifiers and heaters within the grow space...
