Default Smaller light in same grow space.

Hi, I used to run a 600w hps in a 1.5m x 1.5m goom which filled it perfectly, I've now got a 240w Quantum board ready to use in the same space. I'm looking to reduce how many I grow, maybe 2 or 4 instead of 6, will I get enough spread from the new LED light?
I was thinking of somehow reducing the size of the room but I'm not sure if this will really help, my uneducated guess is I'll get more light losses (I'm sure there must be a technical term for this ) if I have a smaller wattage light in a space designed for 600w.
    Waddaya think?
    Let's get it on!

You need roughly 30-35w per square foot to give you good flowering intensity.

That 240w will be perfect for 8 square foot or 2x4 therefore

    That's a large space for just a 240w kit.

Thanks for that, yeah I'm thinking the same.
Is there any easy way to temporarily reduce the size of my grow room, reflective material leaning against corners or something? It's a room within a room loft area so physically reducing the walls would be nigh on impossible.

It's not tall enough for a tent, it's only about 2 metres at the peak, it's more kind of shed shaped if you're wondering
