    Default Chlorine

I hear what is said about tap water & the chlorine content...

However, watching the below video doesn't really seem to support our known theories. Does any one have anything to add to it?

Video is from 2015 and from Canada.
1)I believe that most water in the USA will have more chlorine than his water started with. Not sure about UK but most water reports i have seen have high chlorine concentration.
2)i have read that newer chlorine is not the same as 5 years ago and may no longer be evaporating as easily.
3)outdoor ground soil growing is not the same as container growing. What we put into our small pots has a faster and more drastic effect than what we put into the ground.
4)I have read that chlorine effects the coatings and bindings in the liquid mineral nutrients that most of us use. Based on the report I read, chlorine is in many cases interfering with our nutes and causing many issues that we end up misdiagnosing.

Even if he is right and the chlorine does not effect the micro life in the living soil, it should still be properly filtered from the water if using bottled nutes.

I am direct from tap on my current grow. No liquid nutes so far so I feel safe. I did see some leaf spotting which I contributed to the tap water hardness. If I need to supplement with bottled nutes I will be removing the chlorine first.

I still feel that the safest way to grow is with RO water which is fully amended to the levels the plant wants. Controlling what goes in eliminates many issues for me.

I feel like a bloody test monkey after just reading what "could" be in my water supply (severn trent) very long list but
Arsenic, benzene and just a subtle hint of cyanide admittedly some listed have a value of 0 but this little motley crew have values of 1 or 2
The kitchen cold tap stinks to hell of whatever chemical added, I had the boiler man chucking up in my yard after drinking water from it because of the smell, the upstairs cold taps smell fine so i use that for plants
There's a crematorium a few miles away so there's no way I'm collecting the rain
    Atb

Blimey...must be bad Greengrass if the boiler man is chucking up outside after having a sip lol.

I was looking through my water report only the other day..the list really is quite scary.

All water companies should have a post code checker so that you can see your water content...
