Because I'm procrastinating and avoiding painting, I thought I'd start a lil build diary for my wardrobe conversion. It's a slightly smaller space than I'm currently in, and less stealthy, but I need space so this is the solution.
My diy led lights will need altering so going to trim it down from x10 15w strips to 8 of them. Hopefully it then fits the depth without too much effort. The alternative would be to drill out all the rivets and move the strips closer together. But I'm only gaining 6cm height so the added intensity of par isn't ideal, and I'd be left with lots of work and ugly holes from the old rivet holes... which would itch my brain too much.
Wardrobe is about 145cm tall. Hollow space below the grow area where the draws are will house the fan and the filter which I'll blow through. I'll build boxes for both and the filter box will have a vent to outside so I'm getting rid of the humidity from extracting. Hoping to have space for my dehumidifier down there. In the shelf above it i have a long vent for the intake which should suck up the dried air then. I'll use combi ducting cause it's small and easy to work with. I can then choose the height the fan sucks the rooms air from to help regulate the temps I need.
The tent I'm in atm is roughly the same size as the new grow area... 6cm short, 10cm wider, and 15cm deeper so I'm thinking I'll cut the front (and about 15cm of the roof) off the tent, and the use some cheap carpet grippers to hold it in place.
Got diamond mylar, thinking I'll either use velcro or carpet spray glue to stick it.
Currently painting the whole thing white just so it matches the furniture. This weekend work really begins.
