    Default 260W Quantum Board QB288 V2 R Spec

Close to pulling the trigger and buying 2 of these. Has anyone had any experience with this led would love to hear some views of actual usage of one.

I have this HLG light and love it.

I started seeds at circa 100W and then slowly increased the Watts with a gentle twizzle of the screw up to the max which I think is 264W...there or thereabouts, anyway.

My tent only has 120cm of height so I put the light as high as I could and lifted the plants up rather than lower the lights whilst also increasing Watts over the duration of the grow. The peak Wattage came at 5 weeks of flower (auto grow)

It was my first run with it in a new location with totally different water and that has caused me a few issues - rather than the light.

Purely my observation from a soft water perspective, but the light seems to increase the metabolism of the plants and they seem to rip through the nutes available in the soil - just my experience to date - but something to think about.

It's great for 3 plants in my available floorspace which is 60x120cm.

Just bear in mind that you can't take the piss with these lights...it is very easy to overdo it so a bit of Watts-related caution is needed. They are farking bright, too, and I wouldn't advise looking at them when on.

So, over the course of a 9 week grow, I guess I averaged 150W - that's cheap growing.

2 plants down for 4oz bone dry so far - and one dodgy one to go so even on a first go, I should be good for 1gpw - there's plenty on here doing far more than that, but I'll get there.

    You won't be disappointed.

And get a Watt meter...virtually impossible without one unless you start at the maximum and lower the light, I guess...bit of a false economy, though, when a Watt meter is so cheap.

Thanks for the advice mate. What sort of heat does the light give off? my tent is 1.8x1.8x2m so wondering if i would need to install a heater also

    In short, what heat?

My tent is in my bedroom so I don't have ambient heat issues anyway (and I keep the driver outside of the tent) but at 100W the heat sink on top of the light can only be described as tepid. Even at 250W+, it's just a gentle heat.

If your tent is pulling cool air in from outside, you will definitely need a source of heat. Again, based purely on my observations, at circa 150W, the light probably adds about 3C to the ambient temps.

My tent is also in a spare room I have. Will have to put a thermometer in the room and see what it reads. I do have a 60 watt tube heater that might do the job.

    Appreciate your help mate thankyou.

If you could keep that room at 21C, your tent will be 26C, tops, which would equate to a lights off/on swing of just 5C. That's my experience to date.

    Wise choice contempt

If you are putting 2+ kits in a space you will have plenty of heat. Watts are watts lets not forget.
