Tossed in a new bin with shredded paper, peat, and some compost and covered with cardboard. See if they settle in. Didn't want to risk disrupting my other bin. Can't hurt to try!

Mixed up a tote of soil to prep for my next run. Should be able to rotate soils and amend the used stuff to always have something ready to go.

The micro life looks like heavy cloud cover! This batch is fresh castings as my humus whereas all my other mixes were backyard compost and some bagged casting.

Making some new outdoor beds! It was 14c today and sunny... it was absolutely magical out there.

Also trying to build a greenhouse I ordered by myself. Major test of patience! Snap a couple pics once its up. Maybe another few days.

Any tips for new beds? I have tons of manure and peat.. Thinking mix that with native soil and mulch it. Thoughts?

It's a labor of love though right?

Tips... Well every year I have a 'light bulb turning on' moment and think I've solved it. Just have fun and do your best. Every year something just fails.. So don't expect everything to work out there's plenty that's out of your control. Add lots of organic matter and use some mulch. You'll do great!

I'll leave you with a favourite quote about gardening:
